Mysteries of the The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow

To try and make some of the secrets of the Silver Shadow more understandable, I have made two free computer models which you can download from here.

The hydraulic system

The hydraulic system of the Silver Shadow is a bit complicated. In this model, you will get an impression of how the system works. You will se what happens when you push the brake pedal, when you open and close doors, and when you put luggage in the boot or passengers get in the back seat.

To start downloading (324 Kb) click HERE (setup.exe)

When you have downloaded the file, double-click it to run the installation program.
Two files will be installed in the c:\programfiler\SAMAG ans\Hydraulics folder, which will be created if it does not exist.
The main program file is HydraulikkPro.exe. Then there is a wav-file (Clickerx.wav) that produces clicking sounds to imitate the gear shifts (just a gimmick, you can delete it if you don't like it...).
The model is a bit memory consuming. To have it run smoothly I would believe you need at least 256 MB RAM.

The air conditioning unit

The second model is of the air conditioning unit (ACU). You have probably heard the sound of small electrical motors when you turn the ACU switches. With this model you will see exactly what happens at each position of the knobs, that is which wires are live, which motors run, which relays are on or off etc.
The model only deals with the electrics, not with the actual cooling (how the compressor works etc.).

To start downloading (2,74 Mb) click HERE (acusetup.exe)
